Hilary Snider

Pilates Teacher (she/her)

Hilary Snider is an artist, athlete, choreographer, dancer, and nationally certified Pilates teacher.
She completed her comprehensive Pilates training through Polestar Pilates International with Dr. Ada Wells, and has specialized trainings in Pilates for the Performing Arts and Pilates for Scoliosis with Dr. Suzanne Martin. She is a Certified Personal Trainer with a keen interest in nutrition and Ayurveda. She is an experienced yoga teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance, and has completed specialized trainings in Yoga for Scoliosis with Senior Iyengar Teacher Elise Browning Miller, and Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga with Lily Dwyer Begg. She earned her M.F.A. in Dance / Creative Practice from Saint Mary’s College of California where she taught undergraduate Pilates and Yoga courses as a teaching fellow. She earned her B.A. with honors in Studio Art and Dance Choreography from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. A semester internship with Shen Wei Dance Arts in New York City influenced her desire to become a choreographer and teacher. Her teaching approach is influenced by her study of Body-Mind Centering with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, The Five Element Form of Qigong, Hatha Yoga, Laban Movement Analysis, and Bartenieff Fundamentals. Hilary’s career is dedicated to serving diverse populations. Through teaching she has experienced how embodied movement inspires healing, connection, and expression. She honors the relationship between student and teacher as a sacred space of growth and mutual learning. Hilary believes the student and teacher traverse a path of transformation in which conscious movement is a catalyst for health and joyful living.
