Here are some helpful guidelines to make your next visit to a class or individual session at Innerstellar a positive and enriching one:

Regularity of Practice

To experience the optimal benefits of Yoga and Pilates, it’s important to practice regularly. We recommend a minimum of 3 times per week, more if you can make the time. Whether in class or at home, practicing Yoga and/or Pilates on a consistent basis will accelerate your learning and greatly enhance your overall health.

Arrival & Registration

Please arrive to the studio 10-15 minutes early to register, pay and get ready for class. Your practice begins when you arrive at the studio, so please remove your shoes & turn off your cell phone.

Late Arrival

If you arrive late, come into the room only when the instructor signals you to do so, and sit down by the door until the opening meditation has finished so as to minimize disruption.

For your own safety and well-being, please arrive to your class no later than 15 minutes after the start time of your class, or you may not be let in.

CHILD POLICY

Innerstellar is happy to welcome teens over the age of 14. Unfortunately, teens and children under the age of 14 are not allowed to participate in or observe classes.

Unattended minors in our lobby while classes are in session are also not allowed.

FOOD

Yoga postures and Pilates exercises should be performed on an empty stomach. Ideally, wait three to four hours after a large meal, one to two hours after a light snack.

HEALTH CONDITIONS

Please consult your physician before starting any new exercise regime, especially if you have health issues. Inform the instructor of any serious health conditions such as neck, back or joint injuries, glaucoma, heart disease, high blood pressure, recent surgery, and pregnancy.

MEDICATIONS

Do not practice yoga or Pilates while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescribed painkillers) which may alter your ability to judge your physical capabilities.

HYGIENE, PERFUMES AND COLOGNES

Come to your class freshly showered, with clean bare feet. Innerstellar is a chemical fragrance-free environment.

Please refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes and scented clothing during class.
